GR TECHNICS annually produces 1,800 STALICO® light towers that find their way into European construction, security and event sectors.
Innovationmobile lighting out of necessity
The origins of the company lie in a personal frustration: founder Gunter Roefs noticed during infrastructure works that nowhere in Belgium was mobile lighting available for rent. He developed his own system: a light tower with extendable pole and stackable cage. What started as a local idea quickly grew into an international success.
In 2007, GR TECHNICS gained a foothold in the Netherlands. Not much later, Belgium and the rest of Europe followed.
Today the company operates in 12 countries with strong growth in Germany, Poland and Southern Europe.
Light towers for every sector
The applications of mobile lighting today are much broader than just the construction world.
GR TECHNICS provides light towers to:
- Security firms
- Petrochemical companies
- Amusement parks and festivals
- Defense and police
- Public infrastructure such as road works
- Inspection services such as food safety or border control
Thanks to their flexibility, light towers can be used for both temporary and long-term projects, often in remote or hard-to-reach areas.
Drones, sensors and smart technology in our mobile solutions
Innovation is a driving force within the company. For example, GR TECHNICS recently launched a STALICO® light tower compatible with drones for remote monitoring. The towers can communicate with operators via intercom or motion sensors. Compact 3-meter-high models such as the STALICO® DETECT for indoor surveillance or urban areas are also under development.
The company is also fully committed to sustainable mobile lighting. Thanks to hybrid models powered by methanol or solar energy, up to 70% less diesel is consumed. Remote monitoring, smart software and rapidly deployable systems are also among the offerings.
Sustainability within mobile towers as a compass
GR TECHNICS is a recognized SDG pioneer and signed the Voka Charter Sustainable Business. Sustainability is applied in production and is used as a basis in choosing local suppliers, fuel-efficient engines and shortening the chain.
In this way, the company stays true to its mission: reliable, sustainable and efficient light towers building light towers that contribute to a safer world.
New production site and future vision
In 2021, the team moved to a brand new state-of-the-art building in Beerse. The new hall makes it possible to produce up to 3,000 light towers per year. With a keen eye for quality and innovation, all assembly is done in-house. Thanks to the expansion of the management team with, among others, business developer Xavier Van Mierloo, the company is ready for further international growth.
"When we get customers or prospects to us, they are sold," Roefs says.
"We don't just build a light tower. We deliver complete mobile lighting solutions with impact."

The reason you choose mobile lighting from STALICO®
- Production of 1,800+ light towers per year
