GR Technics, the manufacturer of STALICO® lighting and camera masts based in Beerse, won the 2023 Voka Lokaal Award for the Midden-Kempen region.
In 2023, GR Technics won the Voka Lokaal Award for the Midden-Kempen region. This also earned the company a nomination for the Voka Mechelen-Kempen Entrepreneurship Award, one of the most prestigious entrepreneurial awards in the region.
“We will continue to serve our customers at the highest level, because that is where our strength lies,” said Gunter Roefs, the entrepreneur behind GR Technics, upon receiving the nomination. The recognition was for the work of the entire team, which at the time consisted of 17 employees. Despite its modest size, the company has secured leading contracts and conquered the European market with its own brand, STALICO® .
Where the name " STALICO® " comes from
STALICO® stands for STAtionary LIghtmast COntainer. That first container was developed in 2005 as the safest lighting solution for temporary use. Since then, GR Technics has grown to become a pioneer in safe telescopic towers for mobile use. By 2023, the company had produced more than 7,200 towers, delivered to 7 European countries.
Continuing to Innovate
GR Technics continues to invest in its production, with a focus on mobile systems powered by renewable energy sources and temporary battery storage. In 2023, the company expanded by adding 2,000 m² of additional space. The ambition: to continue growing, particularly in Scandinavia and the Americas, and to increase its impact on safety and CO₂ reduction worldwide. The dream? To one day see GR Technics’ most sustainable “ light towers ” shining on a Finnish drilling platform.
